For Sale: this Hauptwerk modified Rodgers Windsor 840 church organ, plus computer, Hauptwerk software, and many of the best commercial sample sets.

The Rodgers Windsor 840 is a wonderful church organ, with 3 manuals, over 90 stops, full size AGO pedal board with magnetic contacts, three swell pedals, thumb and foot pistons, transposer function, beautiful oak cabinetry, bench, and an incredible speaker set including a massive dual 15″ subwoofer cabinet and 10 in-line speakers housing between 6 and 10 drivers each. It is big enough to fill a church.

This organ’s original sound system was fully analogue, and did not include a MIDI function. I modified this organ to add a custom microcontroller-based MIDI in and out, and I have connected it to a computer running Hauptwerk 9. The Hauptwerk software can be controlled with the two touch screens on either side, or by using the stops and other original controls. I have also replaced the original amplifiers with modern rackmount power amps, and I have added a custom labeling system for the stops which changes based on which sample set is loaded. This is the only organ in the world with this specific solution.

The computer includes many of the best commercial sample sets, including Rotterdam surround, Haarlem Professional, Zwolle surround, Doesburg surround, Hereford 67-XL, Caen surround, Matyas II Professional, Paramount 450, and even some sets that are no longer commecially available, such as FCCLA. There are over 50 sets installed – check the photo for the list.

Asking $35,000 US. Serious inquiries only please. The organ is located in Northern California in the US.
